Q. Where are you from?
A. Beeville, Texas
Q. Where do you get your wood?
A. From a small sawmill near Victoria in South Texas.
Q. Do you make these pieces yourself?
A. Yes, we make each one in our own shop.
Q. What are the black streaks in the wood?
A. Some are mineral streaks and others are polyester resin we use to fill natural voids in mesquite.
Q. What kind of finish do you use?
A. We primarily use a moisture resistant semi-gloss lacquer.
Q. What stain do you use to make it this color?
A. We use an oil base natural wood sealer just to high light and bring out the characteristics of mesquite.
Q. Can you stain it lighter?
A. No, this is the color of mesquite and over time it will naturally darken to a reddish brown hue, caused by ultraviolet rays.
Q. Do you put any finish on the bottom of your pieces?
A. Yes, we sand the same as the top and apply the same finish.
Q. If I have a base I like can you make a top for it?
A. Most likely, we have made many tops for customers bases. Bring us your base or a picture for a quote.
Q. How much does it cost to have something built?
A. Each piece is priced according to materials involved and the difficulty.
Q. How long does it take to make something?
A. Depends on the piece, availability of wood, the weather, and orders in the house.

A. Yes we have a picture of it in our photo album. Or , No, but give us a size and description and we’ll build one for you.
Q. Where do you get your ideas?
A. From working with antiques and lumber for over 32 years.
